Getting rid of weeds doesn’t always require expensive or environmentally harmful industrial products. With products you already have at home, you can prepare a simple and effective solution.
This natural herbicide is ideal for sidewalks, patios and garden beds.
Materials
2 cups white vinegar (preferably 5% or higher concentration)
1/2 cup fine (or coarse) salt
1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid (the kind you use for washing dishes) Pour two cups of white vinegar into a spray bottle or large container.
Add the half cup of salt. Stir or shake vigorously to dissolve as much of it as possible into the vinegar .
Add the tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent. This ingredient helps the mixture adhere more easily to the leaves of unwanted plants.
Pour the mixture into a spray bottle or manual sprayer. Close tightly and shake before each use.
